President of Al-Dhale University Meets Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research and Head of Academic Accreditation Council
During his visit to the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Ali Saeed Al-Tariq, President of Al-Dhale University, met with Professor Dr. Hatem Al-Daees, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, and Professor Dr. Adel Al-Mutri, Chairman of the Academic Accreditation Council.
The meeting addressed a number of important issues and matters related to Al-Dhale University, foremost among them academic staff positions and employment regularization in accordance with academic standards. The university currently comprises four colleges with a total of 14 academic departments. According to the applicable academic standards, the university requires 70 academic positions at the rank of at least Assistant Professor, excluding positions for supporting academic staff, including teaching assistants and instructors.
The meeting also discussed the status of salaries, particularly the payment of half of the salary, on an equal basis with the staff of other public universities. In addition, a comprehensive report was submitted regarding the admission and enrollment of male and female teachers from the educational sector at Al-Dhale University, including their exemption from tuition fees as an incentive and support for the Ministry’s educational personnel.
The meeting further discussed supporting the University’s Agricultural Engineering and Archaeology and Tourism departments. The university provides substantial support to students enrolled in these programs by exempting them from tuition fees and providing course textbooks free of charge. These measures aim to support students and encourage enrollment in academic specializations that address the needs of society and the labor market.
The meeting also reviewed a number of academic and administrative issues related to the university’s development and progress, as well as ways to strengthen coordination with the Ministry and the Academic Accreditation Council in support of the educational and academic process at Al-Dhale University.
