In a New Achievement for Al-Dhale University, Dr. Abdulghani Al-Mahdi Earns a PhD with Distinction from Ibb University

As part of Al-Dhale University’s commitment to developing and qualifying its academic and scientific staff through scholarship and postgraduate study programs, researcher Abdulghani Mohammed Yahya Al-Mahdi has been awarded a PhD in Curricula and Methods of Teaching English, with a grade of Excellent, from Ibb University. This academic achievement is the outcome of the University’s continued efforts to build the capacities of its academic staff and advance their scientific qualifications.
This achievement reflects the vision of the President of Al-Dhale University, Prof. Dr. Ali Saeed Al-Tariq, who places the qualification and development of academic staff at the forefront of the University’s priorities. Dr. Al-Mahdi’s scholarship was granted as part of Al-Dhale University’s program for sponsoring and qualifying its academic staff, within the framework of the agreement concluded between Al-Dhale University and Ibb University for the academic qualification of university personnel. The agreement aims to strengthen academic cooperation between the two universities and provide opportunities for academic staff to pursue postgraduate studies and specialize in various academic and scientific fields.
The public defense of the researcher’s doctoral dissertation was held at the College of Applied and Educational Sciences in Al-Nadirah, Ibb University. The dissertation was entitled:
“The Effect of Using the Six Thinking Hats Strategy on Developing EFL Students’ Speaking Skills and Their Achievement at Al-Dhale University”
The dissertation examined the effect of using the Six Thinking Hats Strategy on developing English-speaking skills among students at Al-Dhale University and improving their academic achievement, making the study directly relevant to the development and enhancement of the educational process at the University.
The dissertation defense and examination committee consisted of:

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Al-Ansi, Member and Dissertation Supervisor, Al-Bayda University.
Assoc. Prof. Yasser Mohammed Al-Sharafi, Member and External Examiner, Al-Hodeidah University.
Following the public defense, the committee approved the award of the PhD degree in Curricula and Methods of Teaching English, with a grade of Excellent, to the researcher.
