President of Al-Dhalea University Discusses Strengthening Training and Academic Cooperation with the National Laboratory in Sana'a
As part of his visit to the capital, Sana'a, to present and discuss the University's Annual Report, Professor Dr. Ali Saeed Al-Tariq, President of Al-Dhalea University, visited the National Laboratory for Central Public Health Laboratories on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, with the aim of strengthening mutual cooperation and advancing training, qualification, and laboratory services for the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Al-Dhalea University.
The President of the University was received by Dr. Abdulilah Al-Harazi, Director General of the National Laboratory. During the meeting, both sides discussed a number of issues related to expanding cooperation and explored mechanisms for activating their partnership in ways that support the academic and practical development of students in the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of previous understandings between Al-Dhalea University and the National Laboratory, particularly the training of students from the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, with special emphasis on internship students. This initiative aims to enhance their scientific knowledge, practical skills, and field-based competencies in accordance with professional standards.
In addition, the two parties discussed the possibility of assigning a number of specialists from the National Laboratory to teach specialized courses in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Al-Dhalea University, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and improving the University's academic outcomes.
Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination and joint efforts to develop training and educational programs, while benefiting from the National Laboratory's expertise in supporting and qualifying medical and laboratory professionals.
This visit reflects the vision of the Presidency of Al-Dhalea University, led by Professor Dr. Ali Saeed Al-Tariq, to establish effective partnerships with specialized national institutions in support of education, scientific research, and community service, particularly within the healthcare sector.
The University President was accompanied during the visit by Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Dheeb, Vice President for Student Affairs; Dr. Saif Al-Dubaisi, Acting Dean of the Center for Quality and Academic Development; Dr. Anwar Abdulkarim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences; Dr. Ghina Abu Hadi, Director of Continuing Education; and Mr. Mohammed Mohsen Al-Mahqani, Director General of Human Resources at Al-Dhalea University.
