Under the Patronage of the President of Al-Dhalea University, Prof. Dr. Ali Saeed Al-Tariq, the Higher Nursing Department at the Faculty of Medical Sciences Organizes an Awareness Event Entitled "The Golden Seconds for Survival"

Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Dhalea University, Prof. Dr. Ali Saeed Al-Tariq, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Dr. Amin Al-Safri, the Higher Nursing Department at the Faculty of Medical Sciences organized an awareness event entitled "The Golden Seconds for Survival" on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Abu Adel Hall. The event was attended by a number of academic and administrative staff members, students, and individuals interested in the healthcare field.

The event commenced with an opening address emphasizing the importance of promoting health awareness, strengthening first aid culture, and reinforcing the concept of social responsibility. The speech highlighted that the first few minutes of responding to emergency situations are critical in saving lives and minimizing complications.

The program featured a scientific lecture delivered by the guest of honor, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Talaei, who discussed the fundamentals of first aid, proper methods for handling emergency cases, and the essential skills that members of the community should possess to provide prompt and effective assistance before specialized medical teams arrive.

The Head of the Higher Nursing Department, Dr. Jihad Al-Shaghdari, praised the continuous support provided by the university leadership and the Faculty of Medical Sciences for scientific and awareness activities. He affirmed that this event forms part of the department's plan to strengthen practical learning and connect academic knowledge with community service.

The event was attended by the Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Dheeb, the Secretary General of the University, Mr. Moeen Al-Bukhaiti, along with a number of academic and administrative staff members.

At the conclusion of the event, participants expressed their appreciation for this valuable initiative and stressed the importance of continuing such programs, which contribute to raising health awareness, promoting first aid culture, and preparing qualified student cadres capable of serving the community and responding effectively to emergency situations, in line with Al-Dhalea University's mission of community service and its commitment to enhancing the quality of its academic outcomes.
